| North American Nature Photographer's Association Convention: Destin, FL This was Zeiss' second year with the Nature Photographers, sharing a booth with our Camera/Lens division. It is always an interesting crowd, when compared to the birder's I spend most of my time with. It was not the best season of the year for birding on the Gulf Coast (or the Emerald Coast as it is known), but I was certainly impressed by the beauty and the potential of the area. White sand beaches and water shading from almost purple-blue at the horizon, to a true emerald green at the shore...pelicans posing against the sunset in Destin Harbor...too close for digiscoping.
